During the COVID-19 pandemic Disney periodically adjusted many policies and services throughout their resort hotels due to labor shortages and to maintain compliance with the local government’s safety ordinances.
One of the changes that we saw was a modified housekeeping schedule at many of the Disney Resorts, but now we are happy to report that Disney is revisiting their housekeeping schedules at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Now, as of January 15th, daily housekeeping has returned to Disney’s Deluxe resorts!
What Are The New Housekeeping Schedules For Walt Disney World Resort Hotels?
We’ve added a chart below to help visualize the housekeeping schedule for each resort type, as well as whether the reservations is being paid for by a DVC members using points, or if the reservation is made using cash.

Moderate + Value | Cash | Every other day housekeeping |

Deluxe | Points | Housekeeping based on length of stay* |
What Does This Mean For Me?
Practically, this announcement simply means that Disney Cast Members will be cleaning the rooms now on a more frequent basis. Housekeeping services include the following:
- Making the bed
- Full bathroom cleaning
- Wiping down all surfaces
- Replacement of amenities
- Vacuuming
- Dusting
Guests of any Disney Resort Hotel can always choose to opt-out of housekeeping service if they wish to do so by notifying a Cast Member, using the occupied placard on their door, or by opting out during the check-in process.
If there are specific supplies or housekeeping requests, guests can always alert the front desk or housekeeping to fulfill any of these requests. Disney Cast Members are excellent at making your stay a special and memorable experience, so don’t hesitate to ask for what you need!
