Disney Vacation Club members and renters have a new reason to get excited with the recent reveal of the Moana-themed splash pad at the Island Tower, located at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. This new addition promises to enhance the resort experience with its creative design and thematic elements inspired by the beloved Disney film, Moana.
A Thematic Experience by the Water
The Moana splash pad is strategically placed next to the Island Tower’s pool, offering a vibrant play area inspired by the ocean’s colors, with different shades of blues and greens. The centerpiece of this splash pad is a life-size sculpture of Moana, who is elegantly poised on her outrigger canoe, facing the Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom. This sculpture meticulously captures details from the film, including Moana’s iconic necklace that holds the heart of Te Fiti.
Additional Moana Elements
In addition to the splash pad, the Island Tower will incorporate more “Moana” references throughout its design. Guests can expect to see manta ray motifs inspired by Grandma Tala, adding to the immersive experience. The guest rooms are designed to reflect the film’s themes, and virtual tours of the three different room types provide a sneak peek into the thoughtful design elements that await guests.
