More than 360 cabins on the grounds of Fort Wilderness are in the process of being replaced and integrated into the DVC timeshare program. This extensive renovation effort aims to enhance guest experiences with modern amenities and comfortable living spaces. Interested buyers can now schedule tours to view one of these updated cabins, offering a firsthand look at the improvements.

Scheduling and Accessing Tours

The model cabin is located near the Settlement Depot within Fort Wilderness. To reach the location, visitors have a few options. Parking is available near the entry to Fort Wilderness, followed by a 5-10 minute internal bus ride to the Settlement Depot. Alternatively, guests can use the Fort Wilderness boats that operate between the resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Magic Kingdom. Upon arrival, visitors should check in at the Disney Vacation Club sales podium across from Trail’s End Restaurant, where Cast Members will assist with the tour.

Tour Details and Logistics

Tours are available by appointment only, so guests must arrange their visit with a Disney Vacation Club sales representative in advance. Two cabins are located near the Settlement Depot; one serves as the model for tours, while the other functions as a remote sales office. The model cabin is identical to the new units being installed throughout the resort, complete with an attached deck for outdoor relaxation.

Ongoing Renovations and Availability

The renovation of the Fort Wilderness cabins is being conducted in phases. By the end of July, approximately 63 units in Loop 2300 and Loop 2500 were scheduled for updates. Additional areas will continue to be refurbished through spring 2025. Currently, only a portion of the new cabins are available for booking using DVC points, with the rest open to cash guests. As the sales process progresses, more cabins will be added to the DVC timeshare program.

Conclusion

Exploring the new cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers DVC members and potential owners a unique opportunity to experience the latest enhancements firsthand. With ongoing renovations and phased availability, these updated accommodations promise to provide memorable stays for future guests. Be sure to schedule your tour in advance and discover what makes these new cabins an exciting addition to the Disney Vacation Club resort portfolio.
