Planning a trip to Disney World is always exciting, but staying in a hotel room, especially with a family, can sometimes feel cramped. Disney resort rooms are designed with comfort in mind, but with a few smart strategies, you can make the most of every inch of space. Here are some tips to help you maximize space in your Disney resort room, ensuring a comfortable and organized stay for your magical vacation!

Use Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are a lifesaver when it comes to organizing your suitcase and resort room. These small, zippered bags help you categorize and compress your clothing and other items. Once you unpack, you can place the cubes directly into drawers or on shelves, making it easy to find what you need without rummaging through piles of clothes.

Bring Foldable Storage Bins or Hanging Organizers

Foldable storage bins are perfect for keeping things tidy and organized. Use them to store toys, snacks, toiletries, or other small items that tend to clutter surfaces. When not in use, these bins can be easily folded and stored away, saving precious space.

You can also find hanging storage organizers on Amazon that are perfect for luggage, making it easy to pack and unpack all of your outfits.

Utilize Under-Bed Storage

Many Disney resort rooms have beds with space underneath, perfect for storing suitcases, extra shoes, or other bulky items. If your room doesn’t have this feature, consider using vacuum storage bags to compress clothing and keep it out of the way. Be aware that some airports have pulled suitcases with vacuum bags aside. An alternative to vacuum bags is to use Ziplock bags and roll out the air.

Make Use of Vertical Space

Think vertically when it comes to storage. Utilize wall hooks or over-the-door organizers for hanging bags, jackets, or hats. Magnetic hooks or suction cup hooks can also be handy for attaching to surfaces, giving you extra places to hang items.

Bathroom Organization

The bathroom can quickly become cluttered with toiletries and towels. Use a hanging toiletry bag to keep your items organized and off the counter. Over-the-door shoe organizers can also be repurposed to hold toiletries, keeping everything neat and easily accessible. Check Amazon for stackable pods and stations that can be filled with any liquids, cutting down on extra clutter in your bags and in the room.

Use the Safe for Valuables

Disney resort rooms come equipped with a safe, perfect for storing valuables like passports, jewelry, and extra cash. Keeping these items in the safe not only secures them but also frees up space in your luggage and room.

Create a Charging Station

With multiple devices needing to be charged, it’s easy for cables and gadgets to take over every surface. Designate a specific spot as a charging station. Use a multi-port USB charger to keep all your devices powered up in one place, reducing clutter and ensuring you know where everything is. These charging stations are also perfect for magic bands. They can hold multiple magic bands, making the cables neat and easy to find.

Keep a Laundry Bag Handy

A dedicated laundry bag helps keep dirty clothes separate from clean ones, maintaining order in your room. Consider a travel laundry bag that can be easily stored when not in use. You can also use this to carry laundry to the laundry room.

Utilize Resort Amenities

Remember, Disney resorts offer plenty of amenities and storage solutions. Utilize bell services for storing luggage if you arrive early or need a place to keep your bags after checkout. Don’t hesitate to ask the front desk for extra hangers, pillows, or any other items that could enhance your stay.
