Kona Cafe, a beloved restaurant at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort that’s famous for its delicious Tonga Toast, is set to close for refurbishment on August 15th. The length of the refurbishment has not yet been officially announced, however, the Disney World calendar shows Kona Cafe being closed through at least September 1st, 2022.
Disney has a statement on their website that mentions guests will still be able to order select breakfast, lunch and dinner items from Kona Island via the My Disney Experience app while Kona Cafe is under refurbishment.
Beginning August 15, 2022, Kona Cafe will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, Guests may continue to use the Mobile Order service through the My Disney Experience app to order select breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings from Kona Island.
