Disney World is known for its attractions, shows, food, and overall entertainment. Guests love Disney because of its incredible immersion and attention to detail. In order to craft the perfect experience, Disney involves all of guests’ senses during their experiences. Guests will use their sense of sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing during their vacation to Disney. The attention to detail in the parks is seen in the music. Music is being played constantly throughout the parks. Some of Disney’s background music has become iconic. Next time you visit Disney, be on the listen for this iconic background music and keep an eye out for where to hear it.
Main Street USA
Perhaps the most iconic background music can be heard upon entering Magic Kingdom. As guests walk down Main Street USA they are treated to sights, smells, and the sounds of happy and classic tunes. The music here sets the stage for your Disney vacation as instrumental songs inspired by ragtime and songs of the 1900s play. Some of the songs that play on Main Street USA include:
- Wells Fargo Wagon from The Music Man
- Married Life from Up
- Surrey With The Fringe On Top from Oklahoma!

Haunted Mansion Outside and In Queue
Another great area to soak up some ambiance through sound is the Haunted Mansion attraction. Guests will hear the music shift from happy and cheerful to unsettling and spooky. The shift happens slowly and subtly, so guests really feel like they are being transported to another area. The music begins outside, continues through the outdoor queue, and gets louder and more intricate as you enter the attraction.

Tomorrowland Entry
Iconic park music can be found in another area within Magic Kingdom. The Tomorrowland entrance loop perfectly sets the stage for what Tomorrowland is all about. As guests enter from Main Street the music transforms from ragtime to futuristic. Guests really feel like they are in a futuristic world when they hear the Tomorrowland entrance loop begin to play.

World Showcase Music Loops
Music is being played constantly throughout World Showcase. This area is unique because each pavilion has their own background music loop playing. The sounds seem to seamlessly transition from pavilion to pavilion, so guests don’t even realize once they’ve entered a new pavilion until they are fully immersed in the area already. Some of our favorite background music is in the Japan pavilion, Mexico pavilion, and the France pavilion.

Disney Bus Music Loops
Something unique to notice at Disney World is that there’s even music playing during your bus ride to and from and your resort. The music on the bus will actually change depending on where you’re headed. Each resort has its own special themed music, as does each theme park as well as Disney Springs and both water parks. After spending a few days at the parks you’ll become accustomed to hearing your resort’s music loop as you head back after a long day.
