How To Spend Your Check-in Day at Typhoon Lagoon

Thanks to an incredible offer from Disney, more and more guests are able to experience the Disney waterparks. Disney World is giving all guests of Disney resorts a free day in the waterparks to be used during their check-in day. This means that guests can do directly to the waterpark when they arrive at Disney World; no need to stop at your resort first other than to drop off your bags. Typhoon Lagoon is one of the waterparks at Disney, and it is jam-packed full of fun that will last an entire day. If you plan on visiting Typhoon Lagoon during your check-in day then continue reading on how you can spend your day there.

Rent a Locker if Needed and Prepare For Your Day

Arriving to Typhoon Lagoon during your check-in day can feel tricky, but Disney makes it easy to go straight from the airport to the waterpark. Your resort will hold your luggage, and it is suggested to pack a small bag with you for your swimwear. Lockers are available for rent at the front of the park so you can store your belongings, and large changing rooms are available as well. If you forget your sunscreen then don’t worry! Plenty of necessities are available for purchase at the shop near the entrance of the park.

Soak in Castaway Creek

Typhoon Lagoon is home to a large lazy river attraction called Castaway Creek. This river stretches for 2,000 feet giving you the perfect amount of time to relax. Float under bridges, across waterfalls, and through the lush scenery of the island. This attraction is for guests of all ages and abilities, with inner tubes for grown ups and kids alike.

Enjoy Gang Plank Falls

This family raft ride down the mountain will be the perfect thrill during your day at Typhoon Lagoon. Each tube fits 4 guests, and guests of any height are welcome on this attraction. Experience the excitement of a white water raft with your entire family as you make a splash together.

Catch a Thrill With Crush ‘n’ Gusher

Typhoon Lagoon’s standout attraction is Crush ‘n’ Gusher. This unique water ride is more like a water roller coaster with jets that propel the raft up hills. This ride is for one or two guests, and is only for those 48 inches or taller.

Play in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool

Did you know that Typhoon Lagoon is home to one of the largest wave pools in North America? The Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool is massive, and produces massive 6 foot swells! Swim with caution as you splash and play in this exciting pool.

Grab a Bite at Typhoon Tilly’s

If you get hungry during your day at Typhoon Lagoon then you’re in luck. Typhoon Tilly’s serves filling meals like the fried fish platter, pulled pork sandwich, chicken strips, and more. You can also grab a signature cocktail or ice cream.
