Festival of the Holidays

Spending the holidays at Disney World is a great way to experience the magic of the season. Disney World is a popular vacation destination for the holidays with many guests choosing to schedule their vacations during holiday breaks from school. There are holiday offerings throughout all 4 parks and Disney Springs. EPCOT is a park that is particularly festive during the holiday season. There are many ways to enjoy holiday fun during your visit to EPCOT in 2024. Here are a few of our favorite holiday events that are happening in EPCOT this year.

International Festival of the Holidays

One of EPCOT’s best International Festivals takes place during November and December. The International Festival of the Holidays is an experience that is included with your regular park admission. Various activities and events are set up around EPCOT and around World Showcase that make for a holiday experience you won’t soon forget. There are several Christmas trees and other stunning decorations to see throughout the park as well. Characters will also roam in their Christmas outfits as well.

Meeting Santa and Holiday Storytellers

Santa Claus has arrived at Disney World, and guests can visit with him and grab a photo at the Odyssey Pavilion this holiday season. Santa will be available daily until December 24th. In addition to Santa, there are holiday storytellers within World Showcase that appear throughout the day to share the holiday traditions of the various countries represented.

Candlelight Processional

One of EPCOT’s most popular holiday attractions is the Candlelight Processional. This stunning show runs nightly at 5pm, 6:45pm, and 8:15pm. An orchestra, the Voices of Liberty, and a celebrity narrator run this holiday spectacular that cannot be missed. Some celebrity narrators this year include Neil Patrick Harris, and Jodi Benson.

Holiday Cookie Stroll

The Cookie Stroll is a holiday tradition at EPCOT. Guests use their Festival Passport and find the cookie stations, after 5 purchases guests can turn in their passport at Port of Entry for an exclusive holiday treat.

Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt

Grab a map and stickers for $9.99 and begin an epic holiday scavenger hunt throughout World Showcase. Guests of all ages can enjoy this interactive adventure.

Living With the Land Glimmering Greenhouses

One of EPCOT’s most popular attractions has a holiday overlay that cannot be missed. Guests can experience the attraction with lights, snowman, and other holiday treasures.

Holiday Treats and Seasonal Food

Various holiday treats and seasonal food items can be found throughout EPCOT for the Christmas season. Delicious favorites like Turkey Poutine at Refreshment Port, and a Peppermint Sundae are just a few of the treats you will find this season.
