DVC Shop’s Friday For Foodies is an exploration of dining at the Walt Disney World Resort. The first series in this journey through Disney World’s food is called “Eating Around The World Showcase at EPCOT.” As part of this series, DVC Shop will dine at restaurants around the World Showcase in order to explore their food items and overall dining experience. This week’s featured dining location is Spice Road Table!
Overview of Spice Road Table
Located in the Morocco Pavilion, Spice Road Table is a cozy sit-down dining location with incredible views of the Wold Showcase Lagoon. The menu features Mediterranean small plates, such as Naan spreads and the Spice Road Table Sampler. As you enjoy your meal, you can take in the sights of the lagoon and the decor similar to cafes in the Moroccan seaside.
Food & Drink Items We Tried
The menu at Spice Road Table features authentic Mediteranian cuisine. During our visit to Spice Road Table, we were able to try some of these food and drink items!
Mediterranean Small Plates
Tagine – $13.00
The first small plate we tried was Tagine. This item features seasonal vegetables, spiced chickpea stew, and herbed couscous.
House-made Hummus Fries – $10.00
Next we tried one of Spice Road Table’s plant-based options: House-made Hummus Fries. These fries are citrus-chipotle flavored and preserved with lemon.
Naan Spreads – $11.00
We also tried the menu’s Naan Spreads which comes with a few items. This dish includes hummus, chermoula, marinated olives, and Za’atar.
Fried Calamari – $13.00
Next we got the Fried Calamari small plate. The Calamari is served with Rémoulade and Harissa Sauce.
Spice Road Table Sampler – $15.00
The last small plate we ordered was another multi-item dish. The Spice Road Sampler comes with Lamb Kefta, Tzatziki, Spiced Chicken, and Tiropitakia.
Specialty Beverages
Medina Mixer – $16.00
For drinks we tried the Medina Mixer which is Starr African Rum, Van der Hum Tangerine Liqueur, and Cranberry Juice.
