DVC Shop’s Friday For Foodies is an exploration of dining at the Walt Disney World Resort. The first series in this journey through Disney World’s food is called “Eating Around The World Showcase at EPCOT.” As part of this series, DVC Shop will dine at restaurants around the World Showcase in order to explore their food items and overall dining experience. This week’s featured dining location is Akershus Royal Banquet Hall!
Overview of Spice Road Table
Tucked away in the Norway Pavilion, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is a must-visit for anyone a delicious meal at EPCOT. This sit-down dining location is designed to resemble a 14th-century Norwegian castle, complete with stone walls, stained glass windows, and suits of armor. During a meal at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, you will even encounter some Disney royalty!
Food & Drink Items We Tried
The menu at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Norwegian-style dishes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all served family-style. We were able to try some of Akershus Royal Banquet Hall’s breakfast items during our visit.
Pastries and Accompaniments
Our first family-style plate was filled with authentic pastries and accompaniments. This dish included Norwegian Berrie jam, salmon spread, cheddar cheese, cinnamon roll, croissant, apple pastry, chocolate turnover, ham, and salami.
Breakfast Platter
Next, we enjoyed the breakfast platter. This came with potato casserole, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and Norwegian waffles.
Princess Meet and Greets
While eating at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, we were joined by a few of Disney’s princesses! They stopped by our table for photos and autographs. The princesses we met were Tiana, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, and Snow White.
