When staying at a DVC resort it is important to carve out plenty of downtime in order to fully enjoy your resort. DVC resorts are deluxe resorts, and they have great recreational offerings and wonderful pools. Something special about deluxe resorts at Disney is the fact that there are multiple pools located at each resort. There are main pools that have waterslides and family-fun features like splash playgrounds and kiddie pools, but there are also leisure pools which are more calm and great for relaxing. The leisure pools don’t have waterslides, are typically located near pool bars, and are perfect for adult vacations. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is an excellent DVC resort for adults. This resort is elegant and refined; perfect for a romantic getaway or an adult-only vacation. While the main pool features a splash playground and waterslide, the Courtyard Pool is a quiet pool located behind the main building. This pool features zero-depth entry, a whirlpool spa, and it’s heated to perfection. The Courtyard Pool Bar is nearby so guests can enjoy an adult beverage before or after their leisurely swim.

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Disney’s Riviera Resort allows guests to experience the elegance of the riviera. This resort is great for adults and adult-only vacations, and the Beau Soleil Pool is the perfect leisure pool for grown-ups to enjoy quietly. While the main pool features a fun waterslide and splash zone, the Beau Soleil Pool is great for relaxing and having a quiet swim.

Disney’s Aulani Resort

This resort features three leisure pools that are scattered throughout the grounds which give guests a break from the busy Sandcastle Pool that features a waterslide and playground. Guests can enjoy spending time in each of the leisure pools, one of which is located nearby Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks. Old Key West’s main pool is located in the central area of the resort near Gurgling Suitcase and Olivia’s Cafe.
