DVC Resorts That Have Great Walkability

All DVC resorts are deluxe resorts that feature luxurious accommodations like pools with waterslides, spacious villas, restaurant options, playgrounds, shopping, and opportunities to explore. DVC resorts are also conveniently located with several on the monorail line and Skyliner route. When deciding which DVC resort is best for your family you should take into account what you might spend the majority of your time doing. Will you be dining? Playing in the parks? Maybe swimming in the pools? If you don’t wish to spend the majority of your vacation sitting still then it might be wise to choose a DVC resort that has unique walkability. If you like to be busy during your vacations then check out some of these DVC resorts where you can walk.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

This resort is a wonderful DVC resort inspired by upstate New York and the equestrian hobby. Saratoga Springs is a large resort where guests can walk around the grounds and discover new areas to explore like playgrounds and pools. But what makes Saratoga Springs so walkable is its path connecting guests to Disney Springs. Guests can embark on the 20 minute walk to Disney Springs from their resort. Many guests enjoy being able to spend the day at Disney Springs and take the scenic walk back to their room.

Disney’s BoardWalk Resort

Another resort with unique walkability is Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. Not only do guests have access to the boardwalk itself which is home to restaurants, shops, bakeries, live entertainment, and even a dance hall, but they are also within walking distance to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Guests can explore the boardwalk and then walk 10 minutes to EPCOT or 20 minutes to Hollywood Studios. They can also enjoy walking over to Disney’s Beach Club resort which is right across the water.

This resort is special because it is home to wild animals like giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and so much more. There are several animal viewing locations throughout the resort and guests can have fun exploring and finding them all. There are even exhibits for animals like flamingoes. You never know what you might find when you start walking at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!

Disney’s Bay Lake Tower/ Contemporary Resort

Disney’s Bay Lake Tower located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a popular resort for DVC members. It’s on the monorail line which makes a trip to Magic Kingdom or EPCOT quick and easy. But this resort takes walkability to a new level with its walking path to Magic Kingdom! Guests can reach Magic Kingdom in just 10-20 minutes; no need to wait for the monorail.
