It has just been announced that Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure will reopen to non-Californian residents on June 15. To compensate for the obvious increase in ticket demand that will be coming with these changes, Disneyland has also extended their booking window from 60 days to 120 days.
Back in the middle of April, California guidelines changed to allow out of state visitors to visit California theme parks as long as they were fully vaccinated. Initially Disney opted to not allow out of state visitors in Disneyland as things got settled with their reopening. This decision allowed those residing in California to be the first to enjoy the Disneyland theme parks.
The June 15 date not only will mark the allowance of out of state visitors, but also the ending of all Covid restrictions in the state of California. Although it will not be mandated by the state, Disney has stated they will still require guests to wear face masks while in the park at this time.
The State of California strongly recommends that all guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative Covid-19 test prior to entering the theme parks.
Disney officialsDisney’s procedures may change as they continue to update our health and safety processes based on guidance from the state of California and local health officials. The latest details to know before you go can be found on disneyland.com/updates. Also, please keep in mind, to enter a Disney theme park, all guests (ages 3 and older) need to have both a ticket and theme park reservation for the same park on the same date. Disney recently announced a new way for guests to purchase theme park tickets at the same time they make park reservations to help streamline the process for those unfamiliar with Disney new Park Pass system.
