It has been officially confirmed that Disneyland is set to reopen on April 30. This has been long awaited by many, especially those in California looking for a sense of normalcy.
The reopening of Disneyland and California Adventure could not come at a better time. Disney is reopening certain resort hotels on April 29 and is reopening the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa on May 2. Guests who will be staying at these locations will now have access to the parks that they may not have had before.
Disney is also timing this reopening right after the exclusive Touch of Disney event. There will be about 10 days in between the end of the food and beverage event being held in California Adventure called A Touch of Disney, and the reopening of the parks. This should be plenty of time for Disney to put everything together.
Per the restrictions set in place by the state of California, Disneyland will only be open to California residents for the foreseeable future. There will be other restrictions set in place as well such as mask mandates, park reservations, and capacity limits. You can read all about what to expect when visiting Disneyland here.
Disney is not yet allowing ticket sales for the parks’ reopening and there has not been a release date on when tickets will go one sale again just yet. Keep checking the DVC Shop blog for news to see when tickets go on sale.
What are your thoughts on Disneyland reopening on April 30? Do you think tickets will sell out right away like previous events? Are you going to try to get them? Let us know in the comments below your thoughts on this grand reopening.
