Not everyone will be able to enjoy ringing in the New Year in a Disney Park. To make up for that fact, Walt Disney World will livestream their fireworks spectacular on New Year’s Eve!
Disney’s “Fantasy in the Sky” firework display in Magic Kingdom will be broadcast live to viewers all over. The broadcast will begin on Friday, January 31, 2021, at 11:48 PM EST.
This fireworks display is different than Disney’s “Enchantment” that currently takes place nightly in Magic Kingdom. “Fantasy in the Sky” will provide guests with a stunning fireworks display over Cinderella’s Castle. Accompanying this nighttime spectacular will be Disney music from movies, as well as attractions in Magic Kingdom.
Disney World’s official statement on the decision to live stream the New Year’s Eve fireworks is below:
We have continued to carefully manage our theme park attendance through the Disney Park Pass Reservation system, and that practice continues for the New Year’s Eve holiday. Since so many cannot be here for the display, we hope people worldwide will join us virtually to count down to the start of 2022 with a delightful dose of Disney magic for the entire family.
