Disney Vacation Club Sign

As Independence Day approaches, it’s important for Disney Vacation Club members to be aware of some operational changes. The holiday will see a temporary closure of several DVC offices, affecting access to some services available for DVC members. Here’s what you need to know to plan accordingly.

Independence Day Office Closures

Affected Services

On Thursday, July 4, 2024, DVC Member Services, Member Administration, and Member Accounting will be closed in observance of Independence Day. During this closure, members are encouraged to use the online platform, DVCMember.com, to manage tasks such as making or canceling reservations, banking points, and other supported activities.

Reopening Schedule

All DVC offices will resume normal operations at 9 AM on Friday, July 5, 2024. Members should adjust their plans to accommodate this one-day interruption in service availability.

Impact on Member Activities

July 4th Pool Hopping and Lounge Access

Pool hopping remains unavailable, so there are no specific blockout dates to concern members around Independence Day. Access to the Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower will be restricted on the nights of July 3 and July 4, exclusively for guests staying at Bay Lake Tower. Guests at other DVC resorts will not have access during these dates. Signage in the resort lobby or consultation with a Cast Member can provide confirmation.

Membership Magic Perks

DVC “Membership Magic” discount perks may be subject to blockout dates throughout the year. While a comprehensive list of blockout dates is not published, it is noted that perks are generally not available on holidays such as Christmas and New Year’s Day. Members are advised to check with a Disney Cast Member regarding the availability of discounts and perks on July 4.

Conclusion

For DVC members, being informed about the office closures and service adjustments during Independence Day ensures a smoother vacation experience. Utilizing online resources and planning around the temporary service interruptions will help maintain the magic of a Disney vacation. As always, checking with Cast Members for the latest updates and information is recommended.
