As of December 10th, 2024, Disney Vacation Club declared an additional 14 vacation homes for its timeshare inventory at the Polynesian’s Island Tower. This announcement came just a week before the resort welcomed its first guests. With this update, the DVC inventory has grown from 40 to 54 vacation homes, giving members more opportunities to book with their points.
Newly Available Room Types
These 14 newly declared vacation homes are located on the third floor of the Island Tower. Here’s a closer look at the specific accommodations now available to members:
- Duo Studios: 4 rooms
- Tower Studios: 7 rooms
- Lockoff Two-Bedroom Villas: 2 rooms
- Dedicated Two-Bedroom Villa: 1 room
The addition of these 14 rooms accounts for approximately 182,313 DVC points, which are now accessible for new sales, but also bolsters the vacation time available for reservations at the resort.

The declared vacation homes at Island Tower include a variety of accommodations, catering to different group sizes and travel preferences. Here’s a breakdown of the available inventory as of now:
- Duo Studios: 13 out of 39

- Dedicated One-Bedroom Villas: 4 out of 26

DVC Points Overview
The declared inventory represents 849,652 points, which is approximately 23.5% of the Island Tower’s total DVC points allocation (3,608,934). This gradual release allows Disney to manage bookings while reserving the remaining vacation homes for other uses, such as cash reservations or marketing purposes.
What to Expect from Undeclared Inventory
Future Additions
At present, there are 168 vacation homes at the Island Tower that have yet to be declared for DVC use. Disney retains control over these accommodations, which can be offered as cash reservations or used for promotional purposes.
