Character meet and greets are a favorite part of all Disney vacations, including Disney’s iconic cruises. Traditional character meet and greets returned to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland earlier this year, and now we have an official return date for Disney Cruise Line.
According to a statement issued by Disney Cruise Line, traditional character meet and greets returned Monday, August 29, 2022!
The official statement from Disney Cruise Line is as followed:
In consideration of guidance from the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and due to proven success in our theme parks surrounding returning to traditional character greetings, up-close character greetings, including autographs, are now in the process of resuming across our entire Disney Cruise Line fleet!
There has been a lot of news regarding Disney Cruise Line policies and procedures recently, most notably the announcement just a couple of weeks ago that changed their vaccination requirements. The return of character meet and greets has to be one of the most exciting news updates from Disney Cruise Line though, since these traditional meet and greets essentially puts their cruises back to their pre-Covid normal operations. The only difference now in the experience is the testing and vaccination requirements.
