Disability Access Service (DAS) Updated at Disneyland

Disney’s New Advanced Disability Access Service

Disneyland has implemented major changes to DAS, The Disability Access Service pass as of June 18, 2024 at The Disneyland Resort.

With these changes Disney hopes to eliminate the misuse of the program, which can result in backed up attraction standby and Genie+ lines. Disability Access Service is there to support guests with a developmental disability like autism or similar and are unable to wait in typical attraction queue lines for long periods of time. Guests who are registered can make return times for attractions through the Disneyland app in which they are given a comparable wait to the standby line.

Important Key Changes

  • Guests can virtually register for DAS via video chat 30 days in advance, but pre-select of return times is no longer available.
  • DAS will be valid for the length of the ticket or 120 days, it was previously 60 days.
  • Guests utilizing DAS can have 3 other guests accommodate them, with the exception of immediate family members.
  • Current DAS guests will need to re-apply since these changes have been made.
  • Guests can no longer register for DAS at in-park guest services. Registration will now take place ticket booths in the esplanade on the Harbor/Disney California Adventure side.
  • Guests can Virtually register via Video chat 30 days in advance but pre-select of return times is no longer available.

How To Register For DAS

Guests may register for DAS one of two ways. Guests can speak with a Cast Member using live video chat found on the Disneyland website 30 days prior to their visit and up to 2 days before or by visiting an Accessibility service Kiosks in-person. Speaking with a Cast Member will determine eligibility. If the guest is eligible a Cast Member will take photo of the DAS-registered guest and begin the registartion process. DAS will be good for 120 days or the length of the ticket, whichever is shorter. After 120 days or the ticket is used the guest will gave the re-register.

How To Use DAS

Once a registered guest has entered Disneyland or Disney California Adventure park they can select an attraction return time using the Disneyland app. Guests may also seek assistance from a Cast Member while setting up a return time at any Guest relation location or the Accessibility Services Kiosk. Only one DAS return time can be held at once, when guests uses their allowed return time they may schedule another.

Disney parks are determined to make everyone’s visit to the theme parks an enjoyable experience! This includes guests with disabilities. Although these new changes may disqualify some from using this service in the future, Disney believes this service should be provided for a small percent of guests. Time will tell how affective these changes are. Genie+ is another great tool Disney provides to cut down wait times.
