EPCOT is a Disney park that is known for its sense of wonder, exploration, and celebration of world culture and what brings us together. World Showcase, located near the back of EPCOT, is a celebration of 11 different country pavilions. Each pavilion has its own unique snacks, attractions, shopping, and entertainment. And each pavilion is authentically representing their country. Thanks to EPCOT’s many International Festivals like Food & Wine and Festival of the Arts, there are constantly new snacks to try. But what about the classic snacks that are available year-round? These fan-favorites aren’t going anywhere, and they are an absolute must-try for so many guests. If you are visiting EPCOT in the future then here are some classic World Showcase snacks that you just have to try!
School Bread in Norway
Located in Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway pavilion, this delicious sweet treat is always my first stop when I begin my World Showcase journey. School Bread is a pastry that is filled with sweet custard and tossed in toasted coconut. This snack is perfect for breakfast, or as a sweet treat during any hour of the day. Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is also home to several other popular treats like Lefse, Viking Coffee, and a giant Mickey cinnamon roll.
Caramel Popcorn in Germany
Another sweet treat that guests of World Showcase absolutely love is the caramel popcorn located in Karamell-Kuche in the Germany pavilion. This popcorn is freshly popped and then covered in house-made caramel. The popcorn comes out warm and ready to enjoy, and is perhaps the freshest caramel popcorn you’ll ever experience! If caramel popcorn isn’t your favorite then there are many other caramel delights to discover at Karamell-Kuche. Specialty caramel apples, caramel squares, and chocolate covered caramels await you at this wonderful caramel shop.
Poutine in Canada
The Canada pavilion is home to another classic World Showcase snack that is more on the savory side. Poutine can be found at the Refreshment Port, just as you enter the Canada pavilion of World Showcase. Guests can get either Traditional Poutine or seasonal poutine. Traditional Poutine consists of French fries, beef gravy, and cheese curds. Seasonal poutine will vary. Currently, guests can find a special poutine for the International Flower & Garden Festival which consists of Herbes de Provence Seasoned French Fries, Goat Brie, Lavender Honey, Hazelnut Croquant, and Fresh Lavender.
Funnel Cake in The American Adventure
Another classic World Showcase snack that you simply must try is the Funnel Cake in the American Adventure Pavilion. This funnel cake stand serves several types of funnel cakes including traditional, and seasonal cakes for different EPCOT International Festivals. The traditional funnel cakes can be topped with powdered sugar, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream, or cookies and cream. The seasonal funnel cakes will vary. Currently, a Peaches n’ Cream Funnel Cake is served which is a funnel cake with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, peaches, whipped cream, cobbler crumble, and cinnamon-bourbon caramel sauce.
