February 14th is a day to celebrate the ones we love and this year Disney has decided to open up its Disneyland park to throw a love themed after hours bash in honor of the holiday. This family friendly event will be a way to spend the evening with your partner or family while celebrating the love that brings (and keeps) us together. If you’re in the greater Los Angeles area this year and decide to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Disneyland’s Sweethearts’ Nite, here’s what you can expect.
Schedule and Price
Dates: February 12th & 13th
Price: $109 per person (all guests 3 and up)
Hours: 9PM to 1AM
*While the party begins at 9PM, guests with Sweetheart Nite After Dark tickets may enter Disneyland starting at 6PM.
Costumes: Guests are encouraged to make the night extra special by dressing in costume. Be sure to follow Disney’s costume guidelines if planning to spend the evening dressed as your favorite Disney couple, character or in any other themed attire.
Events and Entertainment
The evening is going to be the ultimate date night for couples and families alike with a variety of one of kind events and shows throughout the park.
Walt & Lillian’s Anniversary Tribute
The Golden Horseshoe will be transformed into the “Tempus Fugit Celebration” honoring Walt and Lillian Disney who celebrated their 30th Anniversary just days before the opening of Disneyland in 1955. The celebration will be a dance party where guests can boogie all night to love songs from the ages.
Royal Ball
Near It’s a Small World guests can dance the night away at a Royal Ball alongside fan favorite Disney royal couples like Princess Jasmine & Aladdin, Aurora & Prince Phillip, Cinderella & Prince Charming, and more.
Couple Meet & Greets
Throughout the park, guests will have the chance to meet and take photos with other popular Disney couples including Mickey & Minnie, Hercules & Megara, Princess Tiana & Naveen, and more.
In addition to the Meet & Greets, other photo opportunities with interactive backdrops will be available throughout the parks for guests. And as an extra perk, all Sweethearts’ Nite guests receive unlimited PhotoPass downloads for photos taken during the event!
Limited-time Food
The evening wouldn’t be complete without pink, red and white snacks and treats to munch on while taking a break from waltzing with Cinderella. Sweethearts’ Nite will be full of themed snacks like Pucker Up Churros, Sweet Cherry-Nova Milkshakes and a prix-fixe dinner available at the Plaza Restaurant that will include an appetizer, entree and dessert.
Rides
As with any After Dark event, select rides and attractions will be available to all guests during the scheduled hours of the event. While not all park rides will be open during this event, guests will enjoy shorter than normal wait times for some of Disney’s classic rides and attractions.
Fireworks
To complete the evening, Sweethearts’ Nite will include a special Valentine’s themed fireworks show that will light up the sky with hearts.
Merchandise & Memorabilia
To remember the night, guests will take home their credentials and commemorative park maps as well as have the option to purchase limited-edition items such as a special two piece pin and a Sweethearts’ lightweight sweatshirt.
