Magic Kingdom is set to debut refreshed costumes for the beloved Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Magic Kingdom this summer. The revised attire aims to enhance the experience of the show, which will now feature new interpretations of Disney tunes in various country music styles.

The upcoming release of the Country Bear Musical Jamboree will bring vibrant and detailed new looks for characters like Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah. These costumes are designed with a nod to Nashville’s Opry-style shows, incorporating genres such as bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, and rockabilly. Fans can also expect to find familiar elements and Easter eggs woven throughout the performance.
Costume Engineering for Audio-Animatronics
Designing costumes for the Audio-Animatronics involves unique challenges. Unlike human performers, these figures require additional gussets and fabric pockets to allow for their distinct movements. The costumes also include shapewear to ensure they fit perfectly and enhance the overall appearance of the characters.

I help source all the fabrics and components and rhinestones, I also work really closely with the patterning team to figure out how we’re actually going to make the garments come together in 3D, and how they’re going to fit the bears, who are all very uniquely shaped and different sizes.
They have lots of repetitive movement, so a lot of times we’ll add gussets or additional pockets of fabric to give them more room to move in those repetitive movements without destroying the costume.
