The upcoming refurbishments represent Bay Lake Tower’s first “hard goods” refurbishment since it opened in 2009. This renovation could encompass enhancements to flooring, wall treatments, bedding, and furnishings. One notable potential upgrade, based on trends in other DVC resorts, is the replacement of fold-open sleeper sofas with pull-down Murphy beds, although official confirmation on this specific change for Bay Lake Tower hasn’t been officially confirmed
Back in December of 2023, Alison Armor, Vice President of Resort Operations, stated that a model room had been renovated and was under evaluation by the staff as part of the design approval process.
