On August 4, 2025, Disney filed paperwork to add 12 vacation homes to the DVC inventory at the Island Tower. This brings the total number of declared vacation homes in the building from 72 to 84. The newly added units are located on the fourth floor, specifically in two residential units labeled 91A and 91B. These units include:

  • Two Duo Studios
  • Three Tower Studios
  • Three Dedicated One-Bedroom Villas
  • Four Lockoff Two-Bedroom Villas

DVC Points Allocation

The new declaration also adds 218,406 DVC points to the inventory, with Unit 91A accounting for 58,566 points and Unit 91B contributing 159,840 points. This brings the total declared points for the Island Tower to 1,403,596, which represents 38.9% of the building’s estimated total of 3,608,934 points. Given the current pace of sales, Disney is expected to make additional declarations before the end of the year.

Current Inventory Breakdown

The Island Tower now has the following declared accommodations:

  • 17 of 39 Duo Studios
  • 29 of 91 Tower Studios
  • 12 of 26 Dedicated One-Bedroom Villas
  • 22 of 46 Lockoff Two-Bedroom Villas
  • 2 of 16 Dedicated Two-Bedroom Villas
  • 2 of 4 Two-Bedroom Deluxe Villas

The remaining 138 vacation homes are still under Disney’s control and can be used for cash reservations, marketing purposes, or other needs.

Implications for DVC Members

While the newly declared units are located on the fourth floor, DVC members booking these accommodations may be assigned to similar units on other floors. This flexibility ensures that members can enjoy their preferred accommodation type regardless of its specific location within the building.

Conclusion

The addition of 12 vacation homes to the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is a significant development for DVC members. It not only increases the available inventory but also reflects Disney’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for vacation ownership. As more units are declared, members can look forward to even greater flexibility and options for their stays at this iconic resort.
