Best DVC Resort Lobbies To Explore

Vero Beach

Visiting the Disney resorts can be a vacation in itself. With so many resorts to explore, many guests enjoy spending part of their vacation visiting them and spending time within them. DVC resorts are deluxe resorts that are expertly themed and contain their own unique amenities and things to see and do. The vision of Disney Imagineers extends far beyond the parks, as these DVC resorts tell their own stories through interior and exterior design. Some of these resorts have lobbies that guests can spend tons of time in, and many are worth going out of your way to explore. Here are a few of our favorite DVC resort lobbies to explore.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Island Tower

Certain resort lobbies really work to bring the theming of the resort to life, and this is exactly what the Polynesian lobby embodies. From the moment you step foot inside the large building you are transported to another area of the world. The Polynesian lobby greets you with island flowers and a statue welcoming you to the resort. This building is also where you’ll find several gift shops to shop for souvenirs at. The new lobby at Island Tower is equally as welcoming with a more modern flair. Both lobbies are worth exploring!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort (Bay Lake Tower)

Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s lobby is modern and sleek, and if you make your way upstairs you’ll find a large atrium filled with shops, artwork, restaurants, and the monorail station. You can easily spend hours here exploring the shops and experiencing the main lobby building. Take the monorail and explore other resorts along the line when you’re finished!

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Disney’s Riviera Resort takes the elegance of the European riviera and brings it to life. This lobby building is full of tilework and artwork, a gift shop with resort-exclusive merchandise, and Le Petit Cafe. Le Petit Cafe is a great place to visit for a cup of specialty coffee, a pastry, or a cocktail at night. This lobby is great for relaxing, and exploring the resort grounds afterwards can be a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village

One of the more interesting lobbies to explore has to be Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Kidani Village. Not only is this lobby decorated to perfection with its African-inspired theme, but it also has several lookout decks and viewing platforms for the savanna. Guests can easily spend an entire afternoon here viewing the animals, admiring the view, and exploring the shops.

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort might be further away than other DVC resorts, but its lobby has its own unique charm that guests love. Vero Beach is known for its sea turtles, and this is noted throughout the lobby design. Sea turtle tracks are imprinted within the floor, and turtle artwork is placed throughout. As you explore the lobby, keep an eye out for vintage photos of the area and of the resort.
