Holiday Decorations at Wilderness Lodge

One of the key highlights of the season is the breathtaking holiday décor at Wilderness Lodge. From the moment you arrive, festive enhancements create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

At the front entrance, the porte-cochère is adorned with an impressive wreath featuring red flowers, pinecones, and Native American-inspired details like feathers and arrows. Garlands hang along the entrance, with pops of poinsettias, berries, and shiny baubles adding color and charm. Inside, guests are greeted by a towering Christmas tree in the center of the lobby, which nearly reaches the ceiling.

The tree is decorated with a mix of natural and handmade elements, including glowing tipis, beaded ornaments, and miniature canoes. These details, inspired by Native American artistry and wilderness themes, showcase the lodge’s unique character. Around the lobby, garlands add festive cheer to railings, while small trees in corners feature teddy bears, rustic ornaments, and delicate floral touches.

Exploring Unique Holiday Details

Beyond the main tree, the lodge offers a variety of smaller decorative touches that add to the experience. Wreaths hang above the fireplace and in the windows of the lobby. Each wreath incorporates thematic elements, such as miniature canoes, snowy berries, wooden carvings, and reindeer figures.

The resort’s retail space, Wilderness Lodge Mercantile, also gets in on the holiday spirit. Garlands and wreaths add a festive look to the shop displays, with special details like flannel bows and rustic ornaments reflecting the lodge’s distinct style. Even smaller areas, like doorways, feature subtle touches such as poinsettias and ribbons, ensuring that every corner feels festive.

A Holiday Treats Kiosk

No holiday celebration would be complete without seasonal treats, and Wilderness Lodge delivers with a pop-up snack kiosk just for the occasion. This temporary stand, located near the lobby, offers a variety of sweet and savory items to enjoy.

Menu options range from Cheddar Gougères to spiced apple cider, and there are plenty of desserts with a holiday flair. Guests can try items like the Chocolate Crispy Tree Bar or Dark Chocolate Bar featuring designs inspired by the lodge itself. There’s even the option to indulge in hot chocolate spiked with festive spirits like peppermint schnapps or cinnamon whiskey.

The kiosk is decorated with garlands and Christmas lights, blending seamlessly with the surrounding decorations. Holiday merchandise is also available, making it a convenient stop for picking up a souvenir or gift while enjoying a snack.

Making Memories at the Lodge

For guests staying at Wilderness Lodge or simply visiting for the day, the holiday décor provides the perfect backdrop for making memories. A PhotoPass photographer is stationed by the grand Christmas tree, giving visitors an opportunity to capture a keepsake photo of their holiday visit.
