A new character meet and greet has arrived at Disney California Adventure for The Lunar New Year Celebration. The Celebration will take place from January 23 through February 18, 2024. The meet and greet features Turning Red’s Meilin Lee and Ming Lee in human form. The Mother Daughter duo can be found along the pathway between Grizzly Peak and Paradise Gardens Park, near The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure.
Meilin Lee is set to appear in her red panda form in the all new Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration parade for Pixar Fest beginning in April of this year. Concept Art for the parade shows Meilin in red panda form, the very popular 4*Town boy band, as well as Mei’s group of friends: Abby, Priya and Miriam. The Lunar New Year Celebration Concept art shows Meilin in human form with her red panda ears and tail. Meet and greet times have yet to be announced.
It’s the Year of The Dragon! During The Lunar New Year Celebration you will also be able to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their Festive Lunar New Year Outfits, Raya from “Raya and The Last Dragon” and Mulan and Mushu from Disney’s “Mulan”. You will also be able to see Mulan and Mushu during Mulan’s Procession. The show will run for 20 minutes from Hollywood Land to Paradise Gardens.
Disney Pixar’s “Turning Red” was released on March 11, 2022 on Disney+ and in select theaters.
