We recently took our two-year-old granddaughter Grace and our five-month-old grandson Bodhi to Disney for the first time ever. Who says a five-month-old is too young to take ,just look at his face looking at the character at the Polynesian breakfast. We just bought into Disney at the ripe old age of 68 and 70 so you’re never too old to enjoy Disney. We have also just bought resale with the same month and usage year and same resort. We plan on giving it to our children to enjoy for many years with their children. My husband and I will also be making some memories of our own as we finally retire into the good old golden years.I can’t wait to try the food and wine festival, private safari’s, moonlight magic and other festivities that DVC And non-DVC members can participate in.
My words for anyone first purchasing is to buy a small amount into DVC directly and then the rest on resale. Everything can be done easily online without even calling an agent in person. Ours was very simple and plan to do it again in the future. We were kept informed every step of the way and it was effortless. We saved a ton of money going the resale route.
We plan to stay in a different resort each time and some of those vacations maybe even non-park ones. We also plan to go at different times of the year as we have never seen it decorated for Halloween or Christmas.The DVC club membership will allow us to do this which we could never afford to do if we were not members.
We are also looking forward to bringing our older son and his girlfriend who have never gone at our oldest son with our other four grandchildren and his wife. Just to see the expressions alone on their faces will be priceless.
Yes I’m sure they will be a few meltdowns along the way but the time spent with family can never be measured. Hopefully memories will last long after we’re gone.To be able to eat breakfast with them every morning in a two bedroom , Watching their faces as they go on the monorail for the first time and enter the Magic Kingdom then Epcot than galaxy edge and Hollywood studios will be something etched in my brain forever. Enjoying the different parades,Fireworks, or just relaxing by the pool, as long as you’re with family that’s all that matters. And family is all about Disney. From the moment you enter one of the resorts, how you’re greeted and being able to hear that welcome home. Now that all my parts are replaced I can’t even enjoy being with them at the water parks.Can’t wait to watch them go down the waterslides, enjoy the boat rides to various places and of course the character meals.
This will provide us with a lifetime of memories and hopefully memories that will be passed on to our children and their children.Knowing that our children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy it even after we’re gone gives us a sense of still being part of something even though we’re not there
