When looking at The Walt Disney World calendar guests can see that Canada Far and Wide will be closing indefinitely in Epcot. It is expected to close its doors on June 27, 2021 and is listed as being closed through the beginning of August, which is as far as Disney’s calendar allows you to look at this time.
It is unclear as to why it will be closing, but there are two likely options. The first is scheduled refurbishments on the attraction. The second could be that the space in Canada Far and Wide space will be used in the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival for extra booths. This festival is set to begin on July 15 and run until November 20. Closing the attraction on June 27 would give Disney time to set everything up that they would need by July 15. If this is the case that the booths will be set up inside of Canada Far and Wide, it would be great for those looking to get out of the hot weather while still enjoying the festival.
For those that have come to love Canada Far and Wide, there is no need to worry. The likelihood that this attraction will be closing permanently is very low. Canada Far and Wide is a new attraction that replaced “O Canada!” in January 2020. It is doubtful that Disney would want to close it forevermore when it has had such a short run time.
