Disney World is a vacation destination that has become even more popular in recent years. As more and more guests visit the parks, the crowds within Disney World continue to grow. While the crowd size is increasing, the guest experience remains positive. There are many ways to manage navigating crowds during Disney’s busiest seasons. Breaking for a meal is one of my favorite ways to escape the crowds. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a park will many dining options, with restaurants that will satisfy even the pickiest of guests. Whether you enjoy table-service meals, or quick-service, here are some places to eat at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that offer a break from crowds.
Sci-Fi Dine-In
If you need a break from the crowds then Sci-Fi Dine-In is the perfect table-service restaurant for you to enjoy. This restaurant transports you to a drive-in movie theater from the 1950s. Guests sit in old-fashioned cars to enjoy their meal as clips from science fiction films of yesterday play on the big screen. Guests dine on nostalgic favorites like burgers, fries, and milkshakes. This restaurant is dimly lit and feels like you’re outdoors. It’s calm and truly gives you a wonderful break from the chaos of the parks. Reservations do fill up quickly for this experience, so advance dining reservations are highly recommended.

50’s Prime Time Cafe
Another nostalgic restaurant that will give you a good break from the crowds is 50’s Prime Time Cafe. This restaurant invites you into mom’s kitchen where you can enjoy all of the classic meals of your childhood. Guests can choose from meatloaf, pot pie, fried chicken, and have nostalgic classics like apple crisp for dessert. It isn’t typically difficult to get reservations here, but advance dining reservations are still recommended for this experience.

The Hollywood Brown Derby
Located in Hollywood Boulevard. The Hollywood Brown Derby is a restaurant modeled after the famous Brown Derby restaurant in Hollywood, California. Guests can enjoy this Disney Signature Dining Experience and take a break from the parks for a bit. The food here is absolutely delicious, and guests love the famous Cobb Salad. The Hollywood Brown Derby serves lunch and dinner, and Advance Dining Reservations are highly recommended.

ABC Commissary
This quick-service restaurant is located in Commissary Lane and serves unique food quickly. ABC Commissary is a large and spacious dining area where guests can enjoy Buffalo Grilled Cheese, Shrimp Tacos, and more.

Baseline Tap House
If you need to step aside from a quick crowd break then look for Baseline Tap House in Grand Avenue. Serving craft beer on tap, large pretzels, homemade sodas, and charcuterie boards, guests will love the quiet and intimate dining area here.
