It’s no surprise to anyone who has been in Epcot recently that they are in a full on construction zone. The big question on everyone’s mind is, when will Epcot’s construction be completed? Many projects have announced their projected completion date recently, while other projects have not made that announcements just yet. Here is what guests can expect in regards to Epcot’s completion date.
Epcot’s massive overhaul was announced to the public in September of 2019 at that year’s D23 event. Some major projects from that construction list have already been completed, such as the Paris Pavilion expansion with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Creations Shop, Club Cool, and Space 220.
Other major major productions are still undergoing construction, such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Moana: Journey of Water. It was announced that some of the projects will be completed in the Summer of 2022, but not all. So when exactly can guests expect all the construction walls disappear for good?
John Dennis, a Disney Imagineer, announced that the Epcot expansion will be finished in 2023! Although that may seem like a long way off, it really is no time at all when looking at all that goes into the expansions and new attractions in the Disney parks. They are time consuming, but the final result is always remarkable.
