Many guests aim to arrive at the Disney parks as soon as they open in the morning. It’s true that mornings give guests an advantage for their day as lines are shorter and other guests can be slow to begin their days. Daytime at the parks gives guests entertainment like parades, shows, and roaming performers. But what about Disney after dark? Once night falls, the magic doesn’t end! In fact, there are plenty of things to do in the Disney parks once the sun goes down. If you have a trip to EPCOT planned, then check out what you can do after dark.
Watch Luminous: The Symphony of Us
EPCOT’s nightly fireworks spectacular is called Luminous: The Symphony of Us. Taking place over World Showcase Lagoon, guests can watch this fireworks show from anywhere throughout World Showcase. Favorite locations of guests to watch include the Japan pavilion and Morocco. Celebrating the world and what brings us together, Luminous: The Symphony of Us will leave guests feeling inspired and connected with their fellow human beings.

Explore the Park Lights and Take Photos
EPCOT is a park that undergoes a total transformation after dark. The lights throughout the park dazzle guests and bring the park to life in a whole new way. Spaceship Earth lights up with thousands of moving LED lights that dance to music and make different patterns and designs. Guests can spend so much time gazing at this wonderful park icon. Other areas of the park like World Celebration are full of lights and wonder as well. This is also a great time to take photos with nearly empty backgrounds as guests are exiting for the night.

Enjoy Lower Wait Times on Popular Attractions
Many guests don’t realize that nighttime is a great time to take advantage of some shorter wait times for popular attractions. Guests can get in line for attractions right up until the minute the park closes. By getting in line right before closing guests are able to experience shorter wait times as the Lightning Lanes are empty after park hours. This makes the standard line move twice as fast! After dark is a great time to hop in line for popular attractions.

Explore World Showcase After Dark
World Showcase closes when the park closes, but walking through at night can be a great experience. This is a good time to stop in any stores that you missed during the day and get your last-minute shopping done, and you can also explore the pavilions more thoroughly than you did during daytime hours. Once you’ve sufficiently explored, you can find a good spot to stop and wait for Luminous to begin.
