Disney World is a very popular vacation destination for not only families but adults as well. With this popularity comes crowds, and with the crowds you might end up having to wait in longer lines. Luckily, Disney gives you other options when it comes to managing wait times and lengthy lines. There is so much more to the Disney parks than just rides. There are many other areas of the parks to enjoy and other things to do rather than wait in long lines all day. If you find yourself at a Disney park when the wait times are high then here are a few ideas for you!
Purchasing Lightning Lane Reservations or Lightning Lane Multi-Pass or Premiere Pass
One easy way to deal with long lines and crowds is to purchase Lightning Lane reservations. Lightning Lane allows you to book a scheduled time to experience the attraction and allows you to skip the standby queue and enter the much shorter Lightning Lane line. Guests can either purchase individual Lightning Lane reservations for big rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, or they can purchase a multi-pass which allows them to experience more than one attraction.

See Shows and Live Entertainment
There is so much more to Disney than just rides! Walking around the park and enjoying shows and catching live entertainment is a great way to spend your time without waiting in lines. At Magic Kingdom, guests can view The Festival of Fantasy parade which runs twice daily during busy seasons. Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire is a stage show in front of the castle that runs periodically throughout the morning and afternoon. On Main Street USA you might catch the Dapper Dans singing, or the Casey’s Corner pianist playing ragtime tunes.

Grab a Snack or Drink and Rest
Many guests consider eating to be part of the full Disney experience! Disney World is known for their unique snacks and drinks, as well as classic snacks like popcorn, pretzels, and ice cream. EPCOT is a popular park for snacking and drinking, with many guests “drinking around the world” at World Showcase. Some popular snacks here include School Bread at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, or specialty teas at Joy of Tea.

Take A Walk or People Watch
If you don’t want to wait in lines and you feel like you need a break from the crowds in general, simply start walking! Taking a stroll through the parks is one of my favorite things to do. It lets you soak in the atmosphere of the park, and you never know what you might find.

What do you do during your visits to the Disney parks when the lines are long? Do you wait in them? Or find other things to do? We want to hear from you in the comments below!
