Visiting new places with a gluten sensitivity or allergy can be tricky, but thankfully Disney Parks & Resorts are incredibly accommodating and have strong procedures in place to ensure your food is prepared safely. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival wraps up on November 22nd, so be sure to plan a visit to enjoy these delicious gluten-free finds while you can!
Disney does a fantastic job offering allergy-friendly options, but it’s always important to let a Cast Member know about your allergy when ordering. Menus and ingredients can change, so be sure to double-check with the Cast Member or chef before dining to make sure your meal meets your dietary needs.
Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese Bread – Brazil Booth

A friend had recommended the cheese bread at the Brazil booth, but I assumed I wouldn’t be able to have it. After checking the allergy guide, I was pleasantly surprised to see it listed as a gluten-free option! Not only is the cheese bread warm, chewy, and delicious, but it also counts toward “Emile’s Fromage Montage”. At the back of your Festival “passport,” you’ll find the five locations offering cheese-based dishes, each purchase earns you a stamp. Once you collect all five, you can return to Shimmering Sips to redeem a special dessert! If you do return for the dessert, ensure you let the Cast Member know you are gluten-free as they will need to alter the dessert option.
Filet Mignon with Mushrooms and Mashed Potatoes featuring Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese – Canada Booth

Visit the Canada Pavilion for a heartier gluten-free option with the filet mignon. Priced on the higher side at $10.00, the portion size feels generous, and the dish is full of comforting flavors. As a big mashed potato fan, I loved how creamy and flavorful they were, especially paired with the savory mushrooms and tender filet. A perfect pick if you’re craving something rich and satisfying!
Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey – Greece Booth

This was such a delicious and unique gluten-free find! The griddled cheese was warm, crispy on the outside, and perfectly melty inside. The drizzle of honey added a lovely sweetness, while the pistachios gave it a satisfying crunch. It’s a great balance of salty and sweet. A must-try if you love cheese-forward dishes, plus you can get a stamp in your food passport for the “Emile’s Fromage Montage”!
Basque Cheesecake – Spain Booth

This was easily my top favorite item at the festival! The Basque Cheesecake was rich, creamy, and perfectly savory, with a hint of caramelized flavor on top. The orange garnish on the side added just the right touch of sweetness to balance it out. I honestly couldn’t believe it was gluten-free, an absolute standout dessert!
Roasted Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Crushed Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips – Australia Booth

This dish was such a pleasant surprise! For $8.75, the portion size felt generous, and the lamb was cooked beautifully, tender and flavorful. The crushed salt and vinegar potato chips on top added the perfect crunch and a tangy-salty bite that balanced the fresh mint pesto so well. A definite must-try for anyone looking for a hearty and satisfying gluten-free option at the festival. The booth is right at the entrance to World Showcase and had the lowest wait of any I visited, so an easy one to stop by if you’re especially hungry.
There are plenty of other gluten-friendly options available throughout the festival. Be sure to check the allergy guide provided online by Disney as well as inform the Cast Member of your food needs. Happy eating!
