Top 4 Matcha Options on Disney World Property

Matcha has really taken over in the past few years, and it can make for an especially aesthetic Instagram story post. Originating from Japan, matcha can have higher caffeine than actual coffee, however because of how it is processed in the body you have a more sustained caffeine push versus an instant jolt (morning coffee jitters anyone?). While it has rised in popularity, not all coffee shops or locations have matcha as an option. Out of those that do, not all of them are actually….good. On its own, matcha can be really bitter, so how it’s prepared and paired with flavors can be really crucial. There are a few places on Walt Disney World property that offer matcha drinks – I found these four to be the best!

Summer House on the Lake – Disney Springs

You may already be familiar with Summer House, the popular American fare restaurant located across from the AMC in Disney Springs. But what you might not know is that they have a hidden gem attached: a cookie and coffee counter called The Cookie Bar. Just to the left of the main restaurant entrance, you’ll find a separate walk-up window offering some of the best baked goods on Disney property. They rotate through a variety of classic and seasonal cookie flavors, and honestly, these are easily some of my favorite sweet treats to grab while walking around Disney Springs.

Along with cookies, they serve coffee and matcha, which you can order hot or iced. You can also add flavored syrups, and if you’re a matcha person like me, I highly recommend the lavender as it’s subtle, cozy, and makes it feel just a little extra special.

Cake Bake Shop – Disney’s Boardwalk

If you love a good coffee-and-pastry moment, Cake Bake Shop delivers. Connected to the Cake Bake Shop restaurant at Disney’s BoardWalk is a separate entrance where you can pop in for coffee, matcha, and pastries without doing the full sit-down experience.

They offer several flavor options for drinks, and the vanilla syrup pairs especially well with their matcha. Bonus points because it comes in the cutest, most aesthetic cup which is perfect for strolling the BoardWalk or snapping a quick photo before heading to your next stop. It’s equal parts delicious and charming, which feels very on-brand for Disney.

Starbucks – Multiple Locations

Sometimes you don’t need anything fancy yet you just need a reliable matcha, and that’s where Starbucks inside the Disney Parks really comes through. Each park has at least one Starbucks location that are usually themed to blend in, but still very much Starbucks. When you’re rope-dropping, mid-park-hopping, or just need a caffeine break without thinking too hard, a Starbucks matcha gets the job done every time.

The matcha is exactly what you’d expect if you’re a regular Starbucks drinker: consistent, familiar, and customizable. You can order it hot or iced, swap in different milks, or add syrups depending on your mood. I usually keep it simple, but it’s nice knowing you can adjust it if you want something sweeter or more creamy after a long park day.

Satu’li Canteen – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you find yourself in Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and want something a little different from your usual park drink, their Matcha Cold Brew is such a fun surprise. Tucked inside this otherworldly land, it feels very on-theme to be sipping something green while surrounded by glowing plants and floating mountains. For those that try to avoid dairy, the cold brew has oat milk already mixed in! The matcha here leans more sweet side than your standard coffee shop order. It’s an easy grab when you want caffeine but don’t necessarily want coffee.

Whether you’re grabbing a familiar Starbucks matcha in the parks, sipping something unique in Pandora, or seeking out specialty spots like Summerhouse and Cake Bake, Disney has no shortage of matcha moments worth trying. Each option has its own vibe with some being  reliable and comforting, others feel more elevated or fun. No matter where you are on property, there’s always a caffeinated drink waiting to fuel your day, your walk, and your next Disney memory.
