Disney World is a great destination for those looking to celebrate. Guests travel to Disney World for all sorts of celebrations, and birthday celebrations are an extremely popular choice! My family has been traveling to Disney World for birthday celebrations for years, and we’ve learned a thing or two about how to have a magical birthday vacation! Disney World is quite welcoming to those who visit during their birthday, and Cast Members love to celebrate you. If you are planning a special celebration trip to Disney World then here are a few tips on planning the ultimate Disney birthday vacation.
Stay DVC
Staying DVC is a great way to celebrate during a birthday vacation because it allows you to bring more people along! DVC villas are spacious, with 3-bedroom grand villas typically accommodating up to 12 guests. This is a great way to bring several friends or members of your family. The more the merrier when celebrating birthdays at Disney World. DVC villas also make extended stays easier with great accommodations like full kitchens and washers and dryers.
Some of our favorite DVC resorts for celebrations include Disney’s Riviera Resort due to its convenient location on the Disney Skyliner, Disney’s Boardwalk Villas due to its wide range of recreational activities and restaurants, and Disney’s Old Key West Resort because of its spacious villas and laid-back vibe.
Grab a Pin
Don’t forget to stop by Guest Services at the beginning of your trip to grab a celebration pin. This is a great way to let everyone know it’s your birthday. Cast Members will wish you happy birthday, and characters will notice as well!
Visit More Than One Park
Whoever said that birthday celebrations should be limited to just one day? At Disney World, your birthday celebration can last the entire length of your stay as you visit multiple parks. Each park has something for everyone in your party, so don’t limit yourself to choosing just one. You could also add the Park Hopper option to your ticket so you have more flexibility in which parks you choose to go to.
Make Dining Reservations
Booking a special dining experience for your birthday celebration is a must! There are several restaurants throughout all 4 Disney parks, as well as restaurants within Disney resorts to choose from. Some of our favorite restaurants for celebrating birthdays are 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom, Space 220 at EPCOT, Sci-Fi Dine-In at Hollywood Studios, Tusker House at Animal Kingdom, and California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Book Enchanting Extras
There are several Enchanting Extras that guests can book for an additional fee that will make for an extra special birthday celebration. Celebration Cakes can be ordered to any Disney restaurant during your reservation, or to your resort. Guests can book a Capture Your Moment private photo session with a Photopass Photographer to capture your special day. For guests ages 12 and under celebrating a birthday, a reservation at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makes for a very magical day!
