Traveling to Disney World can feel like an insider experience at times when there are so many tips and tricks associated with visiting. A vacation to Disney doesn’t need to be complicated, but most visits can be improved with just a little bit of preparation. It’s no secret that the Disney parks can become crowded. So many guests travel to the parks in order to experience all of the magic associated with them. Busy seasons include summer break, spring break, and the winter holidays. If you are nervous about traveling to Disney because of crowds, then check out these tips on how to navigate them like a pro.
Arrive Early, Leave Late
When staying at a DVC resort, guests can access the Disney parks thirty minutes prior to them opening to the general public. This time can be extremely valuable in avoiding crowds. The parks are emptier first thing in the morning and this can give guests time to take photos, move through the parks stress-free, and get in line for certain attractions before they fill up. Arriving early, even if you aren’t there for early entry, is our biggest tip for navigating crowds.

When the parks close, don’t rush for the exit. Take your time leaving the park and don’t get caught up in the swarm of people all trying to exit at once. The buses will run for an hour after the park’s closing. By taking your time getting to the exit you can avoid the stress of getting caught in the crowd leaving the park.
Keep Moving Through Busy Areas
Throughout the parks, there are areas that will attract more crowds than others. By continuing to move through these areas you can avoid the stress of being caught in a crowd. For areas like Main Street USA, continuing to move is key to not feeling stuck.

Find Quiet Corners, Nooks, and Side Streets
Throughout every Disney park there are busy areas, and there are retreats. Each park will have areas that you can tuck away into and escape a crowd. You will never be stuck in a busy area for very long in the Disney parks. Main Street USA has a side street called Center Street that offers a great escape from crowds, EPCOT’s World Showcase has many quiet retreats that guests will find throughout. The trick is to keep moving and find these quiet areas.

Arrive Early for Parades and Fireworks
It’s easy to be intimated by the crowds that line up for parades and fireworks. If attending these shows is important to you then show up early to grab your spot. Bring a snack, have a seat, and relax while you wait for the show to begin stress-free.
