A visit to Disney World will always be a special event! Disney World is a great place to vacation for any reason, but it can be even more special when you’re there during a special time in you life. Disney World is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday, and for children this makes the whole experience even more magical. There are several ways to celebrate your child’s birthday during your Disney vacation. Whether your child is turning two or twenty, celebrating them at Disney is a memorable experience for the whole family. If you are visiting Disney World for your child’s birthday then here are a few tips for you to enjoy.

Get A Birthday Pin

The first thing you should be doing during any birthday trip is stopping at guest services for a birthday pin. These pins are free and Cast Members can even customize them with your name or age. Cast Members throughout the parks are always on the lookout for these pins so they can wish your child a happy birthday. Characters will notice these pins as well. This is a great way to make your child feel extra special during their birthday trip, and it’s a free way to add some extra magic into their day.

Book a Sit-Down Meal

A sit-down meal is a great opportunity to dedicate some time to celebrating your child. Character dining experiences especially will allow your child to have a special birthday experience to enjoy. Some of our favorite restaurants for a child’s birthday include Chef Mickey’s, Crystal Palace, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Akershus, Garden Grill, and Hollywood & Vine.

Schedule Time at Your Child’s Favorite Park

One great way to make your child feel special during their birthday is to spend the day at their favorite park. If it’s their first visit then consider the park that has their favorite characters or themes. For example, if they love Toy Story then a day at Hollywood Studios will be perfect for them. If they love classic Disney films, spending time at Magic Kingdom will be a memory they won’t soon forget.

Take Advantage of Photopass Photographers

Be sure to take photos of your child and your family in order to capture the memories of the day! Disney Photopass Photographers are stationed throughout the parks, and by purchasing Memory Maker guests can download all photos taken during the day including those from rides. Taking advantage of Photopass Photographers is also a great way to ensure that your entire family will be in the photos together!
