Disney World is a vacation destination where families come together to make memories that will last a lifetime. For many guests, their visit to the Disney parks is a once-in-a-lifetime trip. For others, the Disney parks is the only place where they can get the whole family together at one time. No matter what your purpose is for visiting the parks, or no matter how frequently you visit them, everyone can agree that taking photos is a very important aspect of the vacation. If you want to preserve your Disney memories into photographs then check out some of our tips on capturing the perfect family photos at Disney World.
Perfect Your Formation Beforehand
Not many guests think about the logistics behind the family photo before it is taken. When you’re visiting the parks you don’t necessarily want to spend too much time getting into formation for your family photos. For years, my family has practiced our “photo formation” before we even entered the parks. Anytime a member of the family grew taller, or when someone new was added, the formation was reworked in the hotel room before the trip even began. We found that when everyone knew where to stand we could get the picture taken quickly and could get back to playing in the parks faster.

Purchase Memory Maker
By purchasing Memory Maker for your vacation you can have access to every Photopass photo that was taken of you and your family during your visit. This means you have all of the on-ride photos, and you can feel free to stop at any professional Photopass Photographer spot for a quick picture. For my family, this service is always worth it! We love getting pictures with everyone in them, and the quality of the photos themselves are great.

Check Out Unique Photo Spots Ahead of Time
Before heading to the Disney parks, you should spend some time planning out photo spots just as you would planning out which attractions to visit. If photos are important to you, then check out some of our favorite spots to take them like the Tangled bathrooms, and the exit of Haunted Mansion.

Grab Photos Early in the Morning or Late at Night
The best time of day to take photos at Disney World is when the crowds are at their lowest. This is typically during the early morning hours, and during the late evening hours as well. If you stay after the park closes for a few minutes, you won’t have any Photopass Photographers available to take your picture but you will have nearly empty areas to pose in. Guests should strategically plan when to take their photos in order to avoid the mess of crowds behind them.
