Disney World vacations are for everybody, young or old! A trip to Disney World is the perfect way to spend time with the entire family. Guests love traveling with extended family members like grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and even friends. There is so much for everyone to enjoy, and everyone can find something to do during a big family vacation at Disney. Grandparents love Disney vacations for many reasons. Not only do they love having special time with their grandkids and family, but they also love how Disney World caters to them and their wants and needs. Here are just a few things grandparents love about Disney vacations!

Accessibility, Transportation, and Comfort

Disney World is a vacation destination that takes accessibility seriously. Guests who are in need of mobility aids like wheelchairs and walkers will find ramps, automatic doors, handicap entrances to rides, and more. There are some rides that guests can enjoy without even exiting their wheelchair. All methods of Disney transportation have options for those with mobility impairment. Guests can also rent wheelchairs and ECV wheelchairs during their vacation from either Disney or from third-party rental sites. Each Disney Resort is also equipped with handicap-accessible rooms.

Gentle Rides For The Whole Family

Some people might think thrill rides when they think of amusement parks, but Disney is so much more than that. Grandparents who might be sensitive to rides will be thrilled to know that there are many gentle rides they can enjoy at Disney. Rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and “it’s a small world” just to name a few have no height requirement and are gentle enough for the whole family to enjoy together.

Character Dining

Grandparents absolutely love all of the character dining experiences throughout Disney World. They love being able to see the characters from their childhood in a comfortable environment that is indoors and air-conditioned, and they can watch their grandchildren make memories with these characters as well. Some favorite dining experiences with characters include 1900 Park Fare, The Crystal Palace, and Garden Grill.

PhotoPass Photographers and Memory Maker

Grandparents adore family photos, and Disney PhotoPass Photographers make it easy to capture these moments. Throughout the parks, Disney has photographers who will take your photo and include fun shots for the whole family. By purchasing Memory Maker, you can have access to every single photo taken during the trip, making it a very valuable experience.
