The Newest Attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios



Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a park that celebrates the magic of film and Hollywood, as well as intricately themed lands like Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land. The park first opened in 1989, and has been keeping true to Walt Disney’s vision of progress. There have been several new attractions constructed in Hollywood Studios in recent years. If you have an upcoming visit to Hollywood Studios then be sure to visit them all. Here are the newest attractions that you can find at Hollywood Studios.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Galaxy’s Edge is one of Hollywood Studios’ largest expansions. Galaxy’s Edge is Star Wars brought to life. With intricate scenery, props, shops, and attractions, Galaxy’s Edge is a must-do for any Star Wars fan. Galaxy’s Edge is home to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction. This attraction is a unique combination of a thrill ride and a dark ride, and features the best of Disney Imagineering. This attraction is home to larger than life Star Wars props as well as lifelike audio-animatronics and other special effects. This attraction is for guests 42 inches or taller.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run

Galaxy’s Edge is home to another new attraction: Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run. This attraction is suitable for guests 38 inches or taller and is a unique attraction where guests take control. Using an innovative and interactive ride system, each guest is assigned a task and must work together in order to pilot the Millennium Falcon.

Slinky Dog Dash

Toy Story land is a recent addition to Hollywood Studios that brought new attractions and experiences to the park. One of these new attractions is Slinky Dog Dash. This family roller coaster is for guests 38 inches or taller and features a Slinky Dog ride vehicle. Guests soar over Andy’s backyard at top speeds of 40mph.

Alien Swirling Saucers

Another recent attraction at Toy Story Land is Alien Swirling Saucers. For guests who are 32 inches or taller, this attraction is a spinning and swirling sensation. Guests will join the Toy Story aliens and zip around corners and feel the effects of gravity in real time!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Located in the park’s iconic Chinese Theater replica, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a newer attraction that showcases incredible Imagineering. Join Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy as they attempt a peaceful picnic in the park. Of course, nothing goes according to plan. This attraction is a dark ride with a free-roaming ride vehicle that makes for a truly unique ride experience. Visual effects as well as audio-animatronics work together to create an incredible attraction. This attraction has no height requirement and is suitable for guests of all ages.
