Walt Disney World has revealed an exciting update for the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios. The Electric Mayhem, the iconic band from The Muppets, will now star in the attraction’s pre-show, bringing their signature energy and humor to the experience.
What to Expect from the Pre-Show
With your VIP passes, you’ll be welcomed inside the recording studio, where – wouldn’t you know it – you’ll find The Electric Mayhem cranking out the familiar tunes of Can You Picture That? as they rehearse for their big concert. Along with the finest audio engineers (all penguins, of course) we’ll see Scooter doing his best to convince Electric Mayhem to stop jamming and get to their increasingly restless fans. But will it be enough to get the band across town and onstage in time?
Guests will step into a recording studio where The Electric Mayhem is rehearsing their hit song “Can You Picture That?” The pre-show features the band in full swing, with Scooter attempting to wrangle the group and get them to their concert on time. Expect plenty of laughs and surprises, including appearances by penguin audio engineers and other Muppet antics.
Visual and Audio Enhancements
The pre-show will include a mix of on-screen performances and physical Audio-Animatronics. Scooter and the penguins will appear in animatronic form, while the band will be showcased on a screen at the back of the room, similar to the previous Aerosmith setup. The visuals and audio promise to immerse guests in the chaotic and entertaining world of The Muppets.
The Storyline
The attraction’s storyline has been updated to reflect The Muppets’ unique style. The Electric Mayhem is set to headline a major Hollywood concert, but they’re running late. Guests are invited on a VIP tour of G-Force Records, now under the management of The Muppets, as the band scrambles to make it to the stage.
