Disney’s Beach Club Resort is currently undergoing a series of scheduled updates to maintain the property. These construction projects are bringing noticeable changes to the exterior of the resort building. Guests visiting the area will encounter active work zones, temporary pathways, and closed facilities. We will explore the current status of these projects and explain how they might affect your upcoming stay.
Walkway to Beach Club Villas

Guests navigating the resort will notice modifications to the usual walking paths. Construction vehicles are currently stationed behind orange barriers on the sidewalk connecting EPCOT and the hotel.
An A-frame sign alerts visitors to specific access restrictions. The main walkway to the Beach Club Villas is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Visitors staying in the villas or walking to the theme park will need to utilize alternate routes during these morning and early afternoon hours. Planning your daily schedule around this closure will help you avoid unexpected detours.
Siding Replacement Progress

Crews are actively working on the exterior of the resort wings to replace aging materials. Scaffolding that previously covered certain sections has come down, revealing new progress on the walls.
The original blue siding has been removed from several areas, and new yellow siding is currently in place. This yellow layer is unpainted and will receive a fresh coat of blue paint to match the traditional color scheme of the resort.
Some windows in this section are currently missing their white frames. On the left side of the wall, weather-proof sheathing and steel framing remain exposed to the elements. Disney is not assigning guests to these specific rooms while the construction is active.
Tidal Pool and Restrooms Update

The leisure pool area is also seeing significant exterior work. The Tidal Pool is temporarily closed and completely surrounded by construction walls.
The small building that houses the restrooms for this pool area currently lacks a roof. Black sheathing is exposed at the top of the structure.
Crews will repair or replace this roof structure entirely before installing new roofing materials. Guests looking to swim will need to utilize other available pools on the property during this phase of the project.
Looking Ahead: Extended Refurbishment Timeline
The overall refurbishment plan for Disney’s Beach Club Resort is scheduled to continue through 2027. Visitors can expect to see continuing exterior work as crews move across different sections of the large resort over the next couple of years.
This ongoing project follows several previous property updates. Crews recently refurbished the Stormalong Bay pool area and the resort porte cochere. The main lobby also received a full renovation in 2023.
The ongoing work at Disney’s Beach Club Resort involves essential maintenance, including roof repairs, siding replacements, and temporary walkway closures. While these projects may alter your daily route through the resort grounds, they ensure the property remains in excellent condition for future vacations.
