Disney’s Beach Club Resort has finished refurbishing its main entrance porte cochere, improving the arrival experience for guests and providing a refreshed, welcoming entry point.
A Refreshed Arrival Experience

Construction on the porte cochere began in June 2025 and was finished in December. With the project now complete, normal traffic flow has resumed at the main entrance.
The porte cochere still features its signature white finish, latticework, dark roof, central tower, and yellow flag, keeping the classic New England look while receiving subtle design improvements.
Lighting Updates

The porte cochere now features three new hanging lanterns and added spotlights, giving the entrance a brighter, updated look while preserving its traditional style.
The new lanterns and spotlights improve visibility at night and enhance the ambiance, while the familiar wave-pattern pavement keeps the nautical theme.
Ongoing Resort Enhancements

The porte cochere project is part of broader updates happening at Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts. Exterior work is still underway, and the overall maintenance plan has been extended through 2027 to keep the properties in excellent condition.
Recent updates at the resort include refurbishments to the Stormalong Bay pool area, refreshed lobbies at the Beach Club and Yacht Club, updated Yacht Club guest rooms, and ongoing bathroom renovations near the Martha’s Vineyard lounge.
Conclusion
The refurbished porte cochere provides guests with a brighter, more welcoming entrance that matches the resort’s classic style. Its completion adds to the inviting atmosphere at Disney’s Beach Club Resort as other exterior updates continue.
