Disney has released new concept art for Piston Peak National Park, the Cars-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom as an expansion of Frontierland. The images offer a clear look at the Off-Road Rally Race attraction, the ride path, and the characters waiting at the finish line.

A Full View of the Land

The first piece of art shows a wide view of Piston Peak, including the lodge, the ride track, and the surrounding scenery. It gives a strong sense of the land as a full national park setting rather than just a single attraction.

Details Along the Ride Path

The route is named the Piston Peak Ridge Run Trail, as shown on a sign above a tunnel in the art. The path includes a mix of dirt trail and a wooden bridge crossing, which hints at some variety in the terrain guests will move through.

A car camera operator also appears in the art, filming the race with a small car animal perched on its head. It is a fun touch that plays up the idea of the rally as a real, live event.

The Finish Line

One piece of art shows the finish line, where Lightning McQueen, Mater, Guido, and Luigi are celebrating. The art also suggests that guests watching from the sidelines will be able to see the action, making the finish line a natural gathering spot within the land.

A Second Ride Is Coming Too

The Off-Road Rally Race will not be the only attraction at Piston Peak. Disney has confirmed that a Ms. Fritter demolition derby will also be part of the land, giving guests two distinct ride experiences to look forward to.

Final Thoughts

The new Piston Peak concept art fills in a lot of detail about what the Off-Road Rally Race will look and feel like, from the rugged trail to the celebratory finish line. With a second ride also confirmed, the Frontierland expansion is shaping up to offer plenty for Cars fans. Construction continues at Magic Kingdom, so more updates should follow in the months ahead.
