My Favorite Thing About Disney

two cups of delicious dole whip ready to eat!

We just bought Resale at the Polynesian after our first Disney Vacation in March of 2019. Our first visit as DVC members will be in three weeks (October 2019). We will know after that if we want to buy more points but will definitely always go resale because the perks that mean anything to us are the annual pass and that can change at anytime and the savings of resale are way more than the savings on the annual pass. Ok now, back to the subject. My favorite thing at Disney. Since I have only been one time it’s not hard to choose lol.

It’s definitely the food.

We loved the character buffets! I have a 3 year old who is really into princesses so it’s a great way to meet them without standing in line and get food that she will eat. We also love Chef Mickeys. I don’t get all the bad reviews? We went for brunch and the food was great! It wasn’t fancy but it tasted good. I’m from Kentucky and eat the foods they had on a daily basis so that could have been why I felt differently. Also, Trails End was great! We hadn’t heard anything about it but was pleasantly surprised. Before I forget we were on the middle dining plan and we loved it but it was too much food. We are doing a split stay in October and the first part is for two days at Animal Kingdom so we are doing the dining plan for the two days so we get the mugs and can use the plan for what I feel like is three days and just use our discount for the rest of the time. Not sure if this is the best value but I figured it out to be.

I’m still learning.

The one place we did not enjoy the food was Tusker House. The characters were amazing and Minnie took my daughters hand and danced with her around the restaurant but the taste of the food was not good at all. I felt like all of the counter service restaurants were the same. They were all good but not overly great. Unfortunately due to my blood sugar I’m not able to eat a lot of sweets but I did have a funnel cake one day and it was beyond amazing! I also love that they have the refillable mugs but wish you could fill them at the parks also. I would like to mention the monorail while I’m at it. It’s the reason we bought the Polynesian. We stayed at the All Star Value Resorts while we were there and hated the buses so we decided to buy at a resort on the monorail that we never even stayed at lol.
