Soarin’ Across America is getting closer to its return at EPCOT, and new details are giving Disney World fans a better idea of what to expect. With Soarin’ Around the World now closed, work is underway in The Land pavilion to prepare for the updated attraction experience. Disney has also revealed several of the destinations guests will fly over, along with other changes tied to the ride’s relaunch.

Patriotic Decor Arrives at the Soarin’ Entrance

One of the first visible updates is at the attraction entrance inside The Land pavilion. The Soarin’ marquee now features patriotic styling inspired by the American flag. Red and white striped banners, blue panels with white stars, and themed bunting have been added around the sign and nearby columns.

The decor matches the attraction’s new national focus and signals the shift from the global version of the ride to a U.S.-centered flight experience. Some of the installation still appears to be in progress, but the overall look already sets a different tone for the queue area.

The ride entrance has also been blocked by planters as preparations continue ahead of reopening.

New Locations Highlight American Landscapes and Landmarks

Disney has shared a preview of several locations that will appear in Soarin’ Across America. Confirmed scenes include New York Harbor, Grand Canyon West, Mount Rushmore, Portland Head Light in Maine, and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Disney also says the film will feature New England coastlines, autumn scenes in the heartland, bayous, western plains, northern wilderness, and island shores. Together, these locations suggest a broad look at both natural landscapes and recognizable landmarks across the country.

This updated lineup is designed to reflect the attraction’s focus on the United States as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Other Enhancements Coming to the Experience

The ride is also getting a refreshed musical score. Bruce Broughton created a new arrangement built around the familiar Soarin’ themes originally composed by Jerry Goldsmith. As with past versions of the attraction, the score will work alongside motion, wind effects, and ride programming to shape the full experience.

At EPCOT, the queue will also include a new trivia element called the Soarin’ Challenge Across America. Developed with National Geographic, the game will test guests’ knowledge of the United States through state-themed facts and questions.

Opening Date at EPCOT

Soarin’ Across America opens at EPCOT on May 26. Disney California Adventure will debut its version later, on July 2. Be sure to check it out!
