The weather in central Florida can be quite unpredictable at times. Disney World is located in Orlando, and many of its attractions are outdoors with some being weather dependent. But rainy days at Disney don’t have to mean less magic! Magic Kingdom is a park that is full of classic Disney magic. Like the other Disney parks, the weather doesn’t have to be perfect in order to enjoy the experiences throughout. There are several attractions at Magic Kingdom that are perfect for rainy days. Here are just a few of our favorites.
Carousel of Progress
This indoor attraction is located in Tomorrowland and is a great option if you need an escape from the weather. Carousel of Progress is a Walt Disney original, and features an animatronic show exploring the progress of the American family. This show is around 20 minutes long giving you plenty of time to escape any potential bad weather. Guests might be enticed by the break it offers, but they will leave the attraction feeling charmed and a sense of inspiration.
Haunted Mansion
This classic attraction is perfect to escape the rain. Not only is it located entirely indoors, but it also offers the perfect ambiance for a rainy day. Haunted Mansion is located in Liberty Square, and this dark ride contains some classic Disney Imagineering. Guests love this attraction for its spooky, not scary, ambiance and its incredible storytelling through scenery and special effects.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Located in Fantasyland, this charming dark ride is great for a rainy day. There typically isn’t a very long wait for this ride which takes place indoors. Guests join Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, and other friends as they explore the Hundred Acre Woods. This cute attraction is great for all ages, but perfect for kids. There’s even a rain scene within this ride which is perfect for a day of bad weather.
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
Another classic Walt Disney attraction is located in Adventureland. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room is an animatronic show full of tropical birds that sing and dance. This is one of the first instances of audio-animatronics, and guests love this historical attraction. Located indoors, this show lasts around 20 minutes which offers a great break from the weather.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Another Disney dark ride that can’t be missed is Pirates of the Caribbean. Located in Adventureland, this boat ride showcases the life of pirates. Featuring classic songs, great imagery, and the perfect break from the rain and weather.
