Morning

What better way to start your day than with great food? There are several dining options at Disney’s Contemporary Resort but a few in particular stand out for breakfast. If you are looking for something fast and easy, then check out Contemporary Grounds coffee counter. Located right inside the main building, this coffee counter serves Joffrey’s coffee creations, smoothies, and other signature drinks. Contemporary Grounds also serves a variety of pastries. If your family would prefer a sit-down dining experience for breakfast then Chef Mickey’s is the perfect spot. This all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast meal is served buffet style and is accompanied by the “fab five” themselves: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald are present in the dining room and stop by your table for a personal meet and greet. This is a fantastic way to see your favorite characters without waiting at the parks!

After breakfast is a great time to get active before the heat of the day settles in. Play a game on Contemporary’s basketball, volleyball, or tennis courts, or take a jog around the 1-mile path. Do you prefer to work-out indoors? Disney’s Contemporary is home to Olympiad Fitness Center so you never have to miss a workout. Mornings are also an ideal time to book a guided fishing excursion, or rent one of Disney’s motorized boats.

Afternoon

Now is the perfect time to take a swim in one of Contemporary’s two pools. The Featured Pool is a heated pool with a thrilling waterslide. This pool hosts daily activities like trivia and other games. Poolside cabanas are available for rent by the hour and include flat screen televisions and a mini fridge. A water playground is also located nearby for children. Bay Lake Pool is another option if you want a more laid-back swimming experience. Loud-noises are discouraged at Bay Lake Pool so it is a great pool for relaxation.
