How To Maximize Character Meet And Greets At Magic Kingdom

Aladdin and Jasmine

Visiting Magic Kingdom means visiting the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy. Magic Kingdom is a classic park that is full of that Disney magic that keeps guests coming back year after year. Between the attractions, shows, parades, and characters, Magic Kingdom truly is a special place to visit. Meeting your favorite Disney characters truly is a treat. There are character meet and greets all throughout Magic Kingdom. Guests can wait a long time for these character interactions, and sometimes it can feel like they go by in a flash. If you want to maximize your time at character meet and greets then check out some of our tips.

Make Note of Character Meet and Greets and Go In Order

Try to not waste time wandering throughout the park searching for characters to meet. Magic Kingdom has many meet and greets that are permanent, with characters appearing all day who won’t simply wander the parks. These include Cinderella, Tiana, and visiting princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall, Mickey at Town Square Theater, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy at Pete’s Silly Sideshow, Ariel at her Grotto, Mirabelle at Fairytale Garden, and Pooh and Tigger at The Thotful Spot. You can often find meet and greet times and locations on the My Disney Experience app.

Enjoy Character Dining

If you don’t want to wait in long lines to meet characters then consider booking a character dining experience at Magic Kingdom. Crystal Palace is where you can meet Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore while you enjoy a buffet full of American-style goodies. Cinderella’s Royal Table is a princess dining experience serving a royal feast for breakfast, lunch, or dinner while guests meet Cinderella and other visiting princesses.

Bring Something For Them To Sign

If your character interactions feel like they are going by in a flash then consider bringing something for the characters to sign. Each character has their own unique signature, and guests can bring autograph books, hats, shirts, or even cups to sign. Many guests enjoy getting creative with this and coming up with new items to collect signatures on during their vacations.

Think of Questions to Ask Them in Line

While you wait in line you can come up with some questions to ask the characters. Those who speak like princesses will respond and have a conversation with you. Those who don’t speak might begin gesturing so you can interpret what they are thinking of. Some good questions to ask include questions about their world and their movie that they appear in. For example, you might ask Snow White what she thinks of candy apples.

Ask Them How to Pose, or Copy Theirs

When it’s time to take your photo, ask the character how you should pose. They might show you a fun pose and you’ll get even more interaction time with them while you take the photo.
